Configure Siovos Desktop
Siovos Desktop settings allow you to customize the application according to your preferences.
Access Settings#
Click Settings in the sidebar, or use the keyboard shortcut Cmd+, (macOS) or Ctrl+, (Windows/Linux).
Language#
Siovos Desktop is available in:
- 🇫🇷 Français
- 🇬🇧 English
By default, the application detects your system language. You can change it manually in settings.
The language change is immediate, no need to restart the application.
Updates#
Automatic Updates#
When this option is enabled, Siovos Desktop checks for new versions at startup and notifies you if an update is available.
Check Manually#
Click Check for updates to look for a new version immediately.
If an update is available:
- Click Download
- Wait for the download
- Click Install and restart
The application automatically restarts with the new version.
Updates require a valid license. If your license has expired, you'll need to renew it to receive updates.
Notifications#
Enable or disable toast notifications that appear for:
- Successful operations
- Errors and warnings
- Deployment completion
- VPN status
Data and Storage#
Where is Data Stored?#
Siovos Desktop stores its data locally:

Export Data#
To backup your configurations:
- Go to Settings → Advanced
- Click Export data
You get a file containing your infrastructure configurations (without passwords).
Reset Application#
To start fresh:
- Go to Settings → Advanced
- Click Reset
- Confirm
Reset deletes all local data. Your deployed infrastructures are not affected, but you'll lose local references.
