Welcome to Siovos Desktop! This guide will help you get started with deploying your infrastructure in minutes. Siovos Desktop simplifies the deployment of production-ready infrastructure stacks on your own servers.

What is Siovos Desktop?#

Siovos Desktop is a powerful desktop application that automates the deployment of complete infrastructure stacks including:

K3s - Lightweight Kubernetes distribution
WireGuard VPN - Secure remote access to your services
Harbor - Container image registry
Rancher - Kubernetes management platform
Step-CA - Private certificate authority
PostgreSQL - Relational database
DNS/DHCP - Network services

Prerequisites#

Before you begin, make sure you have:

A valid Siovos Desktop license - Purchase one from our pricing page
A remote server (VPS or dedicated server) with:
- Debian 13 (currently tested OS - other distributions may work but are not officially supported yet)
- At least 4GB RAM (8GB recommended)
- 20GB available disk space
- Root SSH access
SSH key pair for secure server access
macOS (10.15 or later), Windows 10+, or Linux

Installation Steps#

1. Download Siovos Desktop#

Visit our download page and select the appropriate version for your operating system.

2. Install the Application#

macOS#

Open the downloaded .dmg file
Drag Siovos Desktop to your Applications folder
Open Siovos Desktop from Applications
If prompted, right-click and select "Open" to bypass Gatekeeper

Windows#

Run the downloaded .exe installer
Follow the installation wizard
Launch Siovos Desktop from the Start menu

Linux#

Make the AppImage executable: chmod +x Siovos-Desktop-*.AppImage
Run the AppImage: ./Siovos-Desktop-*.AppImage

3. Activate Your License#

When you first launch Siovos Desktop, you'll be prompted to enter your license key. If you purchased a license, you should have received it via email.
